About Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Recently it was awarded the highest possible A grade by NAAC. Inspired by the divine vision of Sadguru Mata Amritanandamayi spread over world wide as Amma, Amrita university is spread over five campuses in South India namely Amritapuri, Ettimadai, Bangalore, Kochi and Mysore .Programs are offered in varied subjects as Engineering, IT, Medicine, Management and Arts and Sciences.Amrita is the first University in India to have all its Campuses linked via satellite enabling e-learning activities. Amrita School of Engineering at Amritapuri offers B.Tech degrees in the fields of ECE, EEE, CSE and Mechanical Engineering. M.Tech in VLSI Design & Wireless Networks are  also offered .Highly qualified and experienced faculty members, state of the art facilities and the rich industry-academia interaction make engineering education at Amrita unique and a fulfilling experience. VLSI and Microprocessor Lab (VML) is a premier development center for ASIC, FPGA, and Microcontroller based Embedded System Design. The lab is equipped with high end workstations loaded with the latest VLSI and microcontroller based development tools. It has been designed  specially for computer based teaching and training activities. The lab would provide the platform for conducting PIC microcontroller workshop.

About the IEEE student chapter

The IEEE Student Branch of Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri was established in the year 2004 and comes under Region 10 of the IEEE international society. Our IEEE Branch comprises student members from Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science and IT branches. The student members rely on the IEEE as a source of technical and professional information, resources and services. Various talks and workshops including technical paper presentations have been conducted.

Our Mentor :

Mr. Rajesh Kannan of our Electronics and Communication Department, who has more than 10 years of experience in
VLSI design and Embedded Systems of which 6 years at  Silicon Valley,  USA  and is the motivating force and secret of success behind the numerous embedded design and application workshops conducted at our campus.
